What information do you need to know in order for me to have my birth chart done?

Along with your date of birth, you will also need to provide me with your location and time of birth.

How accurate does this time need to be?

As accurate as you are able to be.  The zodiac moves one degree every four minutes which is quite significant.  In terms of “timing” this four minutes could mean the difference of one year in some predictive work. 

Please note that parents can be notoriously unreliable when it comes to birth times, especially the older generation.  If you can confirm the time via your hospital records (usually a fee is charged), or if you have the time recorded in a book or card, then this is good.  

What if I cannot access my birth time?

You can talk to me about this and perhaps we can narrow the time down.  If not, there are astrologers who specialise in birth time rectification which is quite a painstaking process.  Should you need such an astrologer I can supply you with some names. 

What can I expect from an astrology consultation?

Just relax and be yourself.  This is YOUR time and that’s the most important thing to remember.  We will have up to two hours together, so there is enough time to deal with a range of things.  I will have asked you prior to our meeting if there is something specific you want to focus on in our meeting. 

There seems to be no such thing as a “standard session” with me, I prefer to see how our time together unfolds.  But one thing is certain, by the end of our session you will have a greater understanding of what astrology has to offer, you will have some idea about natal chart construction and a good idea about your own unique chart which will be given to you on the day.  We will talk about the energies at play in your life at the present time as well as the energies which are surrounding you in the year ahead.  If there is an issue that is bothering you we can address that as well. 

This is a lot to take in in two hours, but I will produce a 40 page bound booklet for you which you will receive in 7-10 days.  This will contain much of what you will need to know about your personal chart as well as a summary of what we covered in the consultation.  

What happens in a follow up consultation?

Natal charts are complex things, as are we human beings.  It takes time to get to know ourselves.  Often a period of reflection is required.  As my reports do contain some astrological jargon (although explanatory pages are provided) sometimes a client needs to clarify something.  This can be done by e-mail if it is something I can answer easily enough.  But for people who want to work on particular problems they may have, or feel the need to come to a greater understanding of themselves, or explore particular issues, this can take time and thus a further consultation is recommended. 

Can I contact you without having a consultation?

Once you are a client of mine I have no problem if you e-mail me with your thoughts, feelings or questions, especially if it is an area we have worked on together.  Similarly if you want any recommendations of astrology books to read, I will forward a list of those I think would be most appropriate for you. 

There are times, however, when your questions will be best dealt with in a consultation and I will let you know this.  

Do you tape the consultations?

No, I do not.  I do provide a written report on what we talked about which you can expect about a week after the consultation .  If you would particularly like our consult taped I have no problem with you bringing your own taping device.  

What is a birthday chart?

These are called Solar Return charts and are plotted to show planetary placements at the precise time your sun returned to the exact degree and minute of the zodiac you were born (which is slightly different from clock time).   In a sense “Many Happy Returns” is an astrological term.  This chart will give you a flavour of the year ahead and often people come back on a yearly basis at about this time to gauge if they are still on track with their life and goals or to learn more about what energies the following year will bring.

A solar return chart must be read in conjunction with your natal chart and this is why a natal chart must be done and fully understood before we move into any so-called “predictive” or energy work.

Do I need to be at a “crossroad point” to see an astrologer?

People see astrologers for many and varied reasons.  Sometimes people just require a written report for interest’s sake.  These bound and illustrated reports make great gifts for family and friends.  They are also most useful for newborn babies or young children to help parents understand the unique little soul who has entered their life.  These reports are an excellent starting point into astrology and understanding the self.

Some people are keen to work on themselves, to gain a deeper sense of who they are and why they are put on this earth.  Our intellectual selves oftentimes find it difficult to detach from continual and sometimes critical self-examination.  Just by knowing and understanding your birth chart can take some of the pressure off .  “OK ... so this is how it is ... what now am I going to do about it?”

But mostly people do tend to consult an astrologer, initially at least, because they feel themselves either to be at a crossroads or perhaps because their lives have become so cluttered they can no longer see a clear path forward or else they seem to have come across a blockage they cannot find their way around.   

What if I am seeing a psychologist or therapist for my problems, is it still worthwhile to consult an astrologer?

Absolutely, because you will gain good insights into behavioural patterns that may be holding you back.  Sometimes to just know “Well, this is me” is enough for you to find the impetus to change these patterns with the help of your therapist.  There are a number of psychologists who have studied some astrology.

However, should you be working with a therapist, I will certainly not be interfering with this process.  This would be totally counterproductive.  We are all working in your best interests.  But some of my clients like to have a neutral party, like their astrologer, with whom they feel they can be themselves without fear or favour and this then optimises their time with their therapist who can help them with goal setting and other life skills.

REIKI HEALING

What's the difference between Reiki and Pellowah?  

I am sure different people will offer different answers to this one.  I love them both.  Reiki works on the chakra points.  It is a hands-on form of healing that people temd to find relaxing.  Personally, I find it resonates to a lower vibrational frequency, perhaps reds and yellows, whereas Pellowah I find is a higher frequency - blues and whites.  Generally speaking, if you are drawn to one type of healing and ask for that, then that is what you will receive.  Your higher self will know.  Whereas I find Reiki helps align the physical and thus helps balance health issues or blockages, Pellowah activates something within you which changes your awareness and shifts your consciousness.

Can I do both Reiki and Pellowah together?  

Yes, provided Pellowah is done last and you don't mind being on the table for 90 minutes!  Some people like the feel of Reiki which seems to put them in a relaxed state which then allows them to respond more positively to the Pellowah .

PELLOWAH HEALING

Do I need to be at a crossroad point to see you for Pellowah healing?

Most people come to Pellowah because they feel they are drawn to it in some way. There is an old adage that when you are ready the healing will find you. Often, though,people are at a crossroads, because they feel their mind is too cluttered to make clear decisions about life direction, because there is some blockage in their life they cannot seem to get past.  Pellowah healing works well for most people who are trying to work on changing their behavioural patterns, including anxieties and depressions.  It is also useful for people with chronic health conditions, including cancers.  This is not to say that Pellowah cures cancer  ... but what it often brings to these people is a change in attitude towards their condition which often improves their quality of life.

Sometimes in our busy lives we wind ourselves up so much that we feel we are on a merry-go-round that we can’t seem to get off.  People have reported that after Pellowah they can feel the merry-go-round start to slow down.  Sometimes it takes more than one session, but little by little, progress is made.

Astrology and Pellowah work very well together in helping you reach your potential and achieve your goals in life.  I am equally passionate about both.

What can I expect from a Pellowah consultation?

Once again, just be yourself.  I will lie you down on a bed and make sure you are comfortable before I ask to receive the Pellowah energy.  I will then move around your body with arms outstretched directing the energies for 45-50 minutes.  (Teenagers please note:  you cannot have your ipod on during treatment!) 

You are free to move around if you are not comfortable or you have an itch.  This will not affect the healing.  If you happen to speak to me, I will be unable to answer as this will break the circuit.  If you want the treatment to stop, however, (although this has never happened to me), then just say so, I will put my arms down and the circuit will be broken. 

Some people may feel heat or a tingling sensation in a part of their body, some people may feel nothing at all.  Most people actually drift off to a deep sleep during a treatment.  All of this is normal.   

What can I expect after my Pellowah session?

You are welcome to have a cup of tea and share your experience with me but it is important that I do not respond to this.  The reason is to keep the experience as pure as possible.  Any input from me may colour your perception.  it is important that the energy be allowed to settle within you and do what needs must.  If you need to contact me after your Pellowah, I will be available, but I will not give feedback until 24 hours after the treatment, so if you do want to talk about the treatment or how you are feeling, just wait until a day or two have passed.

What are the Pellowah Workshops about?

The Pellowah Healing Technique has a series of three workshops. Levels One and Two are practitioner workshops and Level Three is the trainer workshop.

Level One and Two can be done at any time to suit you, although they must be in that order.  Most people, however, devote an entire weekend to doing both workshops.  Again, although this will qualify you to be a practitioner yourself, many people doing the workshops do so for their own spiritual development.   

The workshops are conducted in a relaxed and fun environment.  There will be times when we will seriously need to focus and I will let you know when this is so, but otherwise the more joy or interaction we can bring to the room via the group the better.

Level One

The Level One workshop gives the attunement necessary to become a practitioner of this amazing form of healing. Through this attunement your own awareness will be greatly expanded.  Attunements give you the equivalent of about 10 standard Pellowah healings.

Level Two

The Level Two workshop gives an attunement that allows you to connect with the high being you were when you made the decision to be here at this time and place.

There are several guided meditations involved in this day’s workshop as well as work with symbols.  You will notice the Pellowah symbols under my Pellowah web tab.  After the workshop, these symbols will take on a new meaning and will be able to be “called up” when their energies are needed. The attunements given by me for level two are equal to 100 healings.

What if I cannot meditate?

This is a common question and one you certainly do NOT have to be concerned about.  The meditations will be guided visualisations mostly set to music.  Rest assured you will be able to do them. 

Once attuned, can you have repeat attunements?

Of course.  But only by a Level 3 Trainer.  Whenever you feel ready, just let me know. An attunement will take 15 minutes and often will involve a small meditation Each time you are attuned, your vibrational frequencies are lifted. Some people have monthly attunements.  

Level Three (is only conducted by Kachina Ma’an, the developer of Pellowah)

The Level Three workshop is a teacher trainer course that will provide you with the attunements and information required to teach Pellowah Healing Technique Level One and Two. The attunements will take you to a higher level of awareness.

If you have done the first two workshops,  I thoroughly recommend doing the intensive Level 3 weekend.  This workshop is usually conducted in Brisbane.  You do not have to become a trainer, many people doing Level 3 are doing so for their own benefit as it brings an even greater level of clarity and inner calm.
